Malachi 2:1-4

Sometimes we sanitize our sin in a way that it looks good from the outside. We wrap it in spiritual activity and hide behind feigned worship. But God smells it for what it is, and He will make sure that we do too!

 

 

Do I have to? *sigh*

Malachi 1:12-14

Have you ever arrived at the place in ministry where you say things like this? Do I have to? How little can I get away with? It's good enough... Dangerous attitudes!

What's in it for me?

Malachi 1:10-11

How sad that the people of Malachi's day had actually arrived at the point where they expected reward for doing even the smallest tasks for the Lord! "God, you owe me." Like some spoiled kid that expects his parents to give him an allowance because he *deserves* it.

Try treating God that way!

Malachi 1:8-9

What if you were to treat your human authorities the same way you treated God? It might get you a "time out" or a quick trip to jail! Sometimes we see our mistreatment of God best by framing it against the other relationships of our lives.

 

Anti-Pollution Campaign

So much attention is given today to "going green" and "living clean." And much of it has been a needed reaction to some past abuses. After all, each of us wants clean water to drink and clean air to breathe. But would it surprise you to learn that God instituted an anti-pollution campaign against worship itself!? 

 

Does God love me?

Have you ever questioned God's love for you? Could it be that the very circumstances that you believe argue against His love are in actuality an indication of it? Would you be willing to hear His answer, if you were to ask?

It is God's master plan to make you ultimately like His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation will not be complete until your whole body, soul, and spirit are found in the very likeness of the perfect Son of God. He's working on you now, and He won't stop until He's done!

Don't put out the fire!

1 Thessalonians 5:19-22

When you trusted Jesus as you Savior, the Holy Spirit took up residence in your life! His work is to use the Word of God to help you become progressively more like the Lord Jesus Himself. That's why the Bible talks so  much about yielding to the Spirit, being filled with the Spirit, being controlled by Him, not grieving Him, and not quenching Him. Keep the fire burning! Learn how today!
