The greatest people are the greatest servants.

Luke 1:34-38

Mary knew that her pregnancy would be met with suspicion and criticism. She knew that people would falsely accuse her and treat her differently. But she believed God and accepted His plan to use her to carry the baby Jesus. Her response is poetic: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord." Simple servant-like faith. Beautiful.

You've probably received a birth announcement or two along the way. I love how every young couple has to find some fancy way to let us know that they're having a baby. Some of the announcements are pretty innovative! But you'll never beat the birth announcement of Luke 1:31. Never. Ever.
