After months of planning, praying, and preparing, Nehemiah finally arrived in Jerusalem. The supplies had arrived with him, and he carried all the necessary permits from the king himself. Yet, before he said a word to the people, Nehemiah sensed the importance of spending a few days alone surveying the situation and breathing in the moment. Leaders need to learn how to get alone first.
