Mary knew that her pregnancy would be met with suspicion and criticism. She knew that people would falsely accuse her and treat her differently. But she believed God and accepted His plan to use her to carry the baby Jesus. Her response is poetic: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord." Simple servant-like faith. Beautiful.
